Well I said I would post some pictures of things I worked at the weekend crop. This is an album made of chipboard that I ordered to spell Rehabcare. I thought it would be kind of cool to have an album out with pictures of the therapists and some of our patients at the outpatient clinic. Each letter makes up 1 page of the album and I added some flat blank chipboard pages. Each letter is covered with paper and embellishments.

Rehabcare Album

| Rehabcare |
For my real day job I work as a Physical Therapist Asst/Program Director for Rehabcare, doing therapy in Assisted Living Facilities and at an outpatient clinic. As an IRW Instructor one of the other IRW girls had the opportunity to have chipboard albums made with specific words, so I had one made that said "Rehabcare". We took pictures of our patients and the staff and we leave it out at the front entrance for people to look thru while they are at the clinic. It is still a work in progress but it is coming along.
Click on the picture of the album above and it will take to the other pages at Picasa Web album.

Home away from home
Atleast it used to be. These are my girls, my Angels, in the back row, from Rehabcare Outpatient Therapy, in St. Clair. That is me on the left, then Angie, Charli and Anita. I am so lucky to have such a great group to work with, when they let me that is. See St. Clair used to be the place I would go to work everyday, but Anita just took over. Just kidding, love you Anita. Actually we got busy in other facilities so I keep busy kind of running around where ever my boss tells me to go.
By the way know what Boss stands for????....big old stupid son of a bitch....but not my boss though, love ya Michelle, mean it! Where was I, oh that's right, St.Clair was my home away from home. I have worked with most of these people for many years, we know the good, the bad and the ugly. Angie has become a mini me, that happened years ago when we first started working together, but she does a great job and I couldnt do my job with out her. Charli is the best, she has fit right in with all our craziness since she come to us all the way from the other side of the bridge. She keeps us on our best behavior for the most part. Anita, new to us this year, but has jumped in with both feet and seen us at our worst and best and kept coming back, so ya we will keep her.
The great folks in the front row are some of our hardest working people you will ever meet. Left to right: Renee, Jim and Sandy. This picture was taken at Jim's graduation day, he worked really hard and did well enough to be rid of us and plans on moving back to Texas, way to go Jim, so proud. Renee and Sandy are both well on their way to joining him and graduating themselves.
I miss seeing all these people everyday!! It is nice and quiet without them sometimes, but they are like family and it's nice to be able to see them again and work with them once and awhile.
Keep up the good work ladies, you do a great job and it makes me proud when I hear nice things about you and all you do
Love ya all, mean it

My lucky day, not
Okay, so here is the deal. I am working in Fulton Missouri this week. Fulton is about 2 hrs away from my home. about 30 mins from Columbia( which I will bring up later).. so why am I in Fulton...good question, because my boss happened to mention she needed someone to cover Fulton for a week, hint, hint. so I figure if I do this, I will just stay for the week. Get a room, bring my scrapbook stuff, my laptop, no kids, no husband peace and quiet and I can control the remote. Not too bad so far. So I drove out here on Sunday before dark, got a decent room at the Holiday Inn in Fulton. They let me have the room until Wednesday and then I have to check with them, because they are booked after that...booked, the whole damned place booked, in the middle of nowhere, during the week. so today in the morning I check at the desk, any cancellations, can I keep my little room, 105, nope they are booked, but check back before check out at noon, we get cancellations all the time...well not today. So here I am taking my lunch break at 11:30, checking to see if I can stay, hell no. So I have to hurry to pack everything up before noon, so I dont get charged a late check out and go look for another place to stay. No room at the Inn.
Only me, can this happen to, I tell you what. There is nothing here in this town to speak of, small town America, nice little place, very nice people, but what the hell could be going on betw wed and friday that I couldnt stay in a 1 bed, single room at a little hotel.
So I need a little therapy, retail therapy...after work I hit the road, drove 30 mins to Columbia, now that is where civilization is. and they have a mall, lucky me and Dillards is having a sale, lucky, lucky, got everything at 50-75% off, I feel better already, until the Dillards bill comes...oh well it could always be worse.
Two more days here in downtown Fulton, now at the Country Hearth Inn & suites, not as nice as the Holiday Inn, but it is home away from home for now. I will enjoy the remote, peace and quiet as long as it lasts, cause once I walk back in the door at home it will all change.

Rehab Graduation
Just so you know I just play a scrapbook instructor on TV....kidding. By day I am a Physical Therapist Assistant/Program Director (cheap labor) at Rehabcare Outpatient Therapy in St.Clair, Missouri. We have been open as an Outpatient Clinic for almost a year. Our first patient was "Tom", he came to us after we had been open about 1 month.
Well Tom graduated!!!! We had a little party for him and another graduate, Janet. It was great to see them both do so well, and return to a higher level of function. They were both such hard workers and really made our jobs easy.
Pictured is Anita ( with the big back, inside joke), Charli, Jim ( another hard working, amazing patient), Janet (seated wearing the cap),Tom ( standing wearing the cap), me (short, fluffy one) and Angie ( my right hand gal).
I am really fortunate to be able to work in such a great place with some terrific people, oh and my co-workers aren't have bad either.
