Good Times

These are some pictures from my scrapbooking weekend. We stayed at the Drury Plaza Hotel, very nice. It was great to crop, eat, sleep do whatever and not have to cook, clean or yell at anyone.
The next picture is the table I sat at with some of Erin's friends an co-workers and their moms, starting with Erin in the brown tee shirt, going counterclock wise, Tracy, Missy, Libby, Pat (Libby's mom), Karen(Tracy's mom) and I sat next to Karen.
Last but not least my girl Erin, Love me some Erin time.
We cropped, we talked, we laughed and we bitched alittle, sometimes alot. But this weekend was some great therapy for me. Hated to leave, but we will do it again.
Next time I will post some pictures of the projects I worked on, Rehabcare album, vacation and 365 album.

Wow what a weekend!!!!

I had such a great weekend. I went to a weekend scrapbook event in Chesterfield. Stayed at the Drury Plaza Hotel, with Archivers right across the parking lot. I had a nice room on the 10th floor and a great roommate, my girl Erin. We were able to crop from 9am Friday to 4pm Sunday. It was fantastic and I got alot done.
I will post some pictures soon

promised picture

This is the group of everyone that attended our Scrapbook Retreat. The retreat was a fundraiser for Leslie Baptist Church, for our mission project to send coloring books and crayons to Russian Orphans. A total of atleast 8 boxes were shipped out last week and the money we raised helped pay for the postage.
It has been really fun showing off the fun and joy of scrapbooking to new ladies, who have it turned shared with their friends and family(....and they told 2 friends...and they told 2 friends and so on.....)Seriously though it warms my heart( yes I do have one) to see someone enjoy scrapbooking so much, to see for themselves how much fun and therapeutic it can be. I nice to see so much good come from this wonderful hobby. And no matter what anyone says, there is no wrong way to do it! As long as you use the right products, enjoy what you are doing and are happy with the end results that is all that matters. Whether you are creating art or preserving memories or both, dont let anyone out there discourage you from doing what makes you happy. Love what you do and do what you love.

Wow, glad that is over

It was a great, crazy, hard, exhausting, weekend. We made it through with only a few minor snags, one being the AC was overworked on Saturday and it got alittle toasty in the crop room, but we survived!
It was exciting to have 2 newbies there, they had never scrapbooked before and they each completed several pages( way to go Charli and Terry) It is so cool to share this great hobby with new people and see them enjoy themselves and realize it isnt as hard as they thought it would be.
Thanks go out to all the guys from Leslie Baptist Church for helping with setting up and breaking down and helping in the kitchen. Yes the guys did all the cooking and cleaning, got to love that! Even my two boys; Brendan and Austin pitched in.
Thanks to Angie and Tyanna for being there and bring their moral support and hugs.
Thanks to the ladies from Church for the snacks and helping as much as they did(Joanie and Betty)Thanks to my Dear, Wonderful Husband for all his hard working cooking all our meals, it was fantastic! And thanks to my girls(Roxie and Erin) for all their helping and keeping me sane, couldnt have done it without you, your the best! I believe everyone had a good time and got lots done. I will post some pictures soon.

Getting ready for the scrapbook retreat

Here are some pictures of my messy scrapbook room, it is trashed. Also a basket full of goodie bags.
Boy it has been a busy couple of weeks and they have flown by too. Been getting everything ready for the retreat this coming weekend. Tim is working on the menu and the grocery list now. I have the goodie bags ready and my scrapbook room is a disaster.
I am excited though it should be alot of fun. And hopefully with a whole weekend I might get some scrapbooking done myself.
I will post pictures soon

Scrapbook Retreat in Wisconsin

All I can say is that this is too cool for words. I am at a great house in Wisconsin Dells, called Magnoliaridge Retreat. It is wonderful! Last night however the power did go out and here I am scrapbooking by candle light. I did not drive ( really ride) 500 miles to be in the dark. Fortunately it only lasted an hr.
I will post more with pictures later.
